Hedge Funds Lecture Series - Quality Capital Management

 QCM was founded in late 1995 by Aref Karim, who maintained a thirteen-year history of managing a substantial portfolio of alternative investments for the world’s largest sovereign wealth fund. The Company is authorised and regulated by the FSA in the UK. In the US it is registered with the CFTC, both as CTA and CPO, and holds membership of the NFA.
Using sophisticated systems-based models, QCM invests client funds through proprietary strategies that take futures positions in recognised exchanges around the world. The markets covered fall into the two major asset classes: ‘financial’ and ‘real’ (commodities). Its aim is to generate absolute returns that are not correlated to traditional assets. By being systematic, QCM’s strategies offer consistency and avoid emotional biases in investment decision-making. QCM is a global systematic macro-manager offering products that are highly liquid and transparent. They bring in art in terms of creativity and innovative thinking in designing strategies out of the box and also use science to take them through to logical conclusions. QCM manages investor assets by participating in most economic environments including those that are trending and non-trending. QCM has consistently appeared on US Barron’s ‘World’s Top 100 Hedge Funds’ since 2008 and has many other awards attributed to it.
